The matchmakers at the UFC wasted no time in throwing Mac Danzig into the deep end when they scheduled him to fight fan favorite Clay 'The Carpenter' Guida at UFC Fight Night in Omaha, NE on September 16th. Guida is a tough opponent for anyone in the lightweight division but Mac is a seasoned veteran and expects to make him a stepping stone!

Stann Loses Title in Rematch

'All American' Brian Stann failed to retain his WEC Light Heavyweight Championship in his rematch against Steve Cantwell on Sunday night in Las Vegas. It was an exciting fight and Steve showed a wider range of striking skills than Stann which eventually wore the champion down in the second round. Brian handled the defeat with grace and plans to return as a better fighter with the lessons learned from his title defense!

Team Quest fighter Pat Healy silenced the crowd when he locked in an armbar in the third round to win the MFC Welterweight Championship at MFC 17 Friday night. Fedor Stops Sylvia

It was a stunning loss for Tim Sylvia Saturday night at the Affliction show as he was stopped in just 36 seconds by the new WAMMA Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko. Tim never had a chance to get started when Fedor unleashed a quick attack that put Tim down and left him open for a rear naked choke. Tim was very disapointed with his performance but plans to bounce back soon!
