Brian Stann
WEC 33 "Stann vs. Marshall" March 26, 2008 at Hardrock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
The fight was expected to deliver fireworks and did just that in front of a sold-out WEC crowd inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Both
men came out with Guns blazing and traded with intensity. Doug Marshall
pressed Brian Stann up against the cage and unloaded a fierce
attack of haymakers. Although after several power punches, Stann countered with a powerful left that sent "Rhino" to the mat and
brought an end to the Championship match. Brian Stann wins via KO and becomes the new WEC Light Heavyweight Champion

John Alessio
WEC 33 "Stann vs. Marshall" March 26, 2008 at Hardrock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
The fight between John Alessio and
Brock Larson was supposed to be a battle and have the
winner moving on to face the Champion Carlos Condit. Instead the fight ended in disqualification leaving the fans wondering what would have been. After sweeping his opponent with ease, Alessio delivered a crushing right knee to Larson's jaw while he was still down on the ground. The strike was deemed to be too severe and Larson could not continue. Both men clearly stated their growing dislike for one another and and a rematch could be in order.
